Find out what polite English society really told their young women. Ohio North Coast member Randi Pahlau, Assistant Professor of English at Malone University, will shed some light on the dark and stormy genre that features so prominently in Northanger Abbey.With a Celebration of Jane Austen’s 244th Birthday
Jane Austen was born on December 16, 1775. We will join Jane Austen Societies around the world as we toast our favorite author. We will have a non-alcoholic toast and birthday cake.
*Note: The library opens at 1:00 PM. Come at 1:00 if you’d like to help us set up. The program will begin at 1:30 PM.
