JASNA ONC's Regency Christmas Birthday Party was a hit!
We had presentations from members about exactly who celebrated Christmas in Austen's era, Austen references in other works, and favorite Christmas passages.
The day would not be complete without a sparkling toast to our Dear Jane, and this year we had the pleasure of enjoying a twelfth night cake! The finder of the bean is appointed King (or Queen) of Misrule. (We couldn't finish the massive cake, so Beverly mis-ruled us voluntarily.)
We even enjoyed munching on Jane Austen heads, as demonstrated by our little Mr Darcy.
